Dr. Kimberly Bonniksen is the Founder and Chief Research Officer of LEGENDS Research. Her research examines how consequential decisions are made under pressure, how leaders build lasting legacies, and how organizations create durable institutional outcomes. Dr. Bonniksen holds advanced credentials in organizational development and has conducted extensive research on leadership communication, institutional resilience, and legacy architecture across industries.

Eric Bonniksen

Superintendent | LEGENDS Guardian

Eric Bonniksen is the Superintendent and LEGENDS Guardian at LEGENDS Research, where he leads research initiatives on rural school leadership and organizational resilience. His research has produced the Turtle & Eel metaphor for adaptive leadership—a framework for understanding how organizations maintain steadiness during change while remaining agile when circumstances demand swift action. His work examines how small and rural schools build durable outcomes despite resource constraints.

Donald Stojack

Chief Legacy Officer

Donald Stojack is the Chief Legacy Officer at LEGENDS Research, leading research on legacy construction and institutional narrative design. His research focuses on how leaders translate lived experience into institutional narratives that create permanent, referenceable authority. He brings deep expertise in strategic thinking and the translation of institutional knowledge into durable frameworks.

Derek Bonniksen is the LEGENDS Legacy and COO Designate at LEGENDS Research. A full-time special education teacher and author of the reflective workbook Living in Legacy, Derek brings deep expertise in translating leadership principles into lived practice. His research focuses on how institutional values are embedded in daily operations and how organizations maintain human dignity while building scalable systems.
